The May 2026 edition of the LatinSafe Bulletin is published, highlighting a creative reflection on memory, discovery, and patient safety in computed tomography. This issue connects “The Stranger in the Pocket” with the unexpected arrival of a new CT scanner, the Amaze XL, using storytelling to emphasize the importance of organized protocols, calibration and quality control, separate adult and pediatric CT protocols, automatic exposure control, automatic tube potential selection, and radiation-dose comparison across scanners.

Through an original and engaging narrative, the bulletin reaffirms that even with newer technologies such as photon-counting detector CT, patient safety depends on a systematic approach, attention to detail, image-quality optimization, and a continued commitment to radiation protection.
